Dinner Cruise

Another week and more experiences to share. Last weekend we went on a dinner cruise with a few other English teachers, most from our school. It to took a couple hours by subway and walking to get to the dock. Once there we had about half an hour before we could get on the boat. There were some really nice fountains there so we took a bunch of pictures to pass the time.

Once on board we made out way to our table. There was seafood buffet for dinner which was very good. We ate our fill and then there was some entertainment. They started with a little karaoke, then there were some Russian dancers that did several kinds of dancing like jive, Spanish and the can-can, there was also a guy that did some crazy stuff with clay pots and some acrobats.

After the entertainment we went up on the top deck to watch to fireworks display that the shoot off the back of the boat. They were right above us and it was the closest that I have ever been to fireworks.

The whole cruise lasted about two hours and was really nice. Once we got back to the dock we made our way back home; another two hour trip. It was a nice night; it was nice to get to know some of our co-workers a little better too.

On Sunday we met up with our friend Eric. He just finished his Korean military service and he will be returning to Sudbury soon. We went for lunch at a western style dinner that Don and I had been to before. Unfortunately there was a long wait to get in, but once we did we had a nice lunch. It was nice to get together with him again before he heads off. We probably won't see him again until we go home.

  2. Hello!

I stumbled across your blog while looking at a friends (Jessica & Grant) and was VERY interested because my boyfriend and I are thinking of moving to Korea next year (we are both currently teaching in the UK). Your blog is awesome and looks like it might provide very useful information! Just a quick question - are you guys teaching at a public or private school? I have heard such mixed reviews about which is "better". Thanks so much!
