Well Don and I have some good news that most people know about by now. We were really worried about getting jobs at home, and what we really wanted was to get onto the Occasional teachers list in Sudbury. We first called to see what our chances were and we were pretty much told that there was no point because the interviews are in July and we wouldn't be back until the end of August. We were both dissappointed and ready to give up and look for other work, but then, a couple great friends of ours: Cynthia and Ken, pushed us and encouraged us to apply anyways. So with the help of both of our families and some more help from Ken and Cynthia we managed to get all of the required documents together and to send in an application.
Having people behind us encouraging the board to allow a Skype interview was what made all the difference. A couple weeks ago I was online and received a message from Susan saying that the school board called and they were offering us Skype interviews. We were so excited and nervous at the same time. We had our interviews last week, and we both think that they went well. We will have to wait until August to find out if we made it. We are praying that since we made it this far that we will get on the list.
