We are home from our trip to Toronto. We left yesterday morning and drove to Toronto, we parked at Yorkdale Mall and Subwayed it down to the Consulate which is about a five minute walk from St. Clair station. The Consulate is a beautiful historical building!
We arrived at 2:30 and our interview was scheduled for 3. They ask everyone to come in at the same time, there were about 12 of us. We waited and were the last to be interviewed, but we were still out of there by 4:40. The interview itself was only about 2 minutes, maybe shorter. I was first and the interviewer asked me to state my name, date of birth, and address, he asked if I had any teaching experience and why I chose Korea and if I could get used to the Korean culture; that was it! Don's interview was even shorter. He was asked for his name, date of birth and address too but then he was just asked for his occupation, I guess saying you are a supply teacher is enough information for them. Once we left the interview room our visas were ready within a minute and we were on our ways back to the car. All in all everything ran very smoothly.
So we are all ready to go, just have to pack, pack pack!!

Visa applications sent off, and plane tickets bought!
Well things are definitely moving fast, Don and I have been busy filling out paper work sending it off to the Korean consulate and then to the school in Seoul and then again to the consulate. We have one more step before we are all set to leave and that is to go to the consulate in Toronto to be interviewed. The screen everyone who heads over there to work now. In the meantime we are packing up our apartment little by little and planning to sell the cars.
Peter called me today to tell me that our plane tickets have been purchased, we leave Sudbury on August 8th and head for Toronto where we board a plane headed directly to Seoul. I was hoping to have a direct flight, and was very happy to hear this. With the time change and and the length of the flight we will be arriving in Seoul on August 10th.
Well that is all the news that we have for now, when we hear more we will definitely leave an update.
Cheers,
Natalie and Don
